Tax Return
T1 Tax Preparation
Are you currently staying in Canada or did you stay in Canada on a working holiday visa? You have a T4 slip and need to file your tax return? We are here to help you!
The Canadian tax year runs from January 1st to December 31st. Even though your employer deducts taxes from your payslip, you still need to file your own taxes to make sure if the correct amount of taxes has been deducted over the course of the year.
Tax season usually starts in February for the preceding year i.e. tax returns for 2023 can be filed starting from February 2024. It must be submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) by the end of April.
If you overpay taxes, you are entitled to a tax refund. However, if you owe any taxes in addition to what you have already paid, you will have to pay the owing tax.
We have been helping working holidaymakers from Japan but we are now extending our service to all working holidaymakers in the world!
If you are entitled to a tax refund but you are leaving Canada before receiving it or if you have already left Canada we will receive it on your behalf. We will wire transfer the amount (wire payment fee $45 deducted) to your bank account in your home country.
